Pradip Jamnadas, MD, MBBS, FACC, FSCAI, FCCP, FACP
The founder and chairman of The Galen Foundation is a medical graduate of the University College of London, England with post-graduate training at Yale University in Cardiology. He has a successful specialty practice in Orlando, Florida since 1990 and performs interventional procedures and is a consultant cardiologist with a large diversified inpatient and outpatient practice. He has been recognized in Orlando Magazine as Top Doctor in Cardiology for multiple years over the past two decades. He is also a clinical assistant professor of medicine at The Florida State University and University of Central Florida. He is a renowned lecturer and teacher, with a passion for high tech interventions when called for, yet places greater emphasis on prevention measures.

    Love what Dr. Jamnadas is preaching in this lecture. One point he brings up multiple times is the idea of us currently living in a milisecond perse of our bioligical DNA as a human species and how it relates to food. If the mind and body are one and the mind has developed at a rapid rate in the last few thousand years, wouldn't the mind/body connection be much more intelligent as well? Would we not as a human species be able to identify specific needs in our nutrition at any given time? Is it maybe we are being taught to ignore these signals?

    My triglycerides and insulin levels were extremely high due to insulin resistance /PCOS … started intermittent fasting and it works . I’m doing 24 hr to 36 hr fasting to lose more weight but I will never be able to accomplished this without following dr. Fung and dr. Jamnadas . He is my cardiologist , at the age of 48 I have a terrible heart disease and food addiction. Intermittent fasting works !

    He's right about addictive foods like processed sugars and the combination of salt, fat, sugar, but he's definitely wrong about grains, legumes and tubers. A boiled potato is about as unprocessed as you can get, and it's calorie density is 1/10th of cold-pressed oils. Try eating boiled potato without salt or fat and see if you get addicted to that.

    44 years old and what you would call a 'grazer'. Never really overeating, but constantly snacking- usually out of boredom. Now I see that this is potentially far worse than just eating 1 or 2 big meals and getting on with it, as my body never has a chance to rest and recover, it is constantly working and tiring itself out digesting food.

    I use olive oil on my skin and my skin seems to love it. I put it on at the end of my shower so any extra rinses of or gets rubbed of when I dry off with a towel.

    I am a 56 year old Carnivore - female - 4+ years of Carnivore - the only thing that has made me sick are pharmaceutical products doctors give us like candies and also vaccines. I do not believe this about protein - I eat beef, eggs, lamb, bacon, some fish. Only protein then !! There are Carnivores that I follow who have only ate meat for 60+ years ...... I do respect you ---- but I truly feel that as a Dr you are wrong here.

    Wrong about Jesus though.... The bread he and his followers broke was unleavened bread made from browntop millet... One of the healthiest grain in America... Unfortunately today it's just bird feed 😢..... Browntop millet is anti cancerous... You have yourself promoted millets in one of your😊 videos 😊

    Thanks Would have liked that u comment on protein needs while on an only-one meal of fasting. My understanding n readings indicate that on one single meal u can absorb no more than around twenty five grams of protein plus or minus. What then do u think this fasting strategy can ensure a sufficient protein intake for a big active individual, who needs around fifty grams of protein. More, do u have data as regards the differential loss of muscle mass vs fat in people who are on water fasting for many days?! In this regard data on merely intermittent fasting is debatable whether there is more muscle mass loss compared to fat loss. I believe such data are crucial for one to make a decision regarding fasting patterns.

    This is one of the last videos I’ve watched before I made some changes. I’ve consistently done 36-48hr fasts once a week for 13 weeks straight as of this week and I’m down almost 20 pounds and I know there’s still an addiction deep down but I’m aware and making better choices and feeling better and happier again. The feeling you get when you have to go down a shirt size and you hit a new notch in a belt that’s never been used before makes any “suffering” worth it.
